Fiddle Pattern Dessert or Luncheon Fork by Samuel T. Crosby Circa 1850
Offered is a useful American coin silver dessert or luncheon fork in the fiddle pattern by Samuel T. Crosby of Boston, circa 1852-61. This piece measures about 6 13/16 inches in length and weighs a heavy 40 grams. It features a worn period engraved script monogram as well as Mr. Crosby's maker's mark. Condition is fair, with some surface wear but only moderate tine wear and no splits or repairs. All in all a good usable fork for a fiddle pattern coin silver set!
