Offered is a lovely and well-made George III English sterling silver stuffing or platter spoon fully hallmarked for London, 1802 and bearing the maker's mark of William Eley and William Fearn. This piece is in the Old English Threaded pattern and is crested with a good armorial of a griffin supporting a shield. This server measures approximately 12 inches in length and weighs about 118 grams. Condition is very good overall, with moderate surface wear and scratching from normal use over two centuries, but no major dents and no splits or repairs. All in all an excellent example of the form!
