Offered is a good heavy Georgian sterling silver master salt spoon bearing London hallmarks for 1830 and a maker's mark of "WE", probably for William Eaton. This piece is engraved with a period armorial of a mailed? arm grasping what appears to be a riding crop. This master salt spoon is heavy and large, measuring about 4 1/2 inches in length and weighing about 28 grams. Condition is fairly good, with some surface wear from a century and a half of use, but no dents, splits or repairs. There is no gilding evident at this point. All in all a nice useful serving piece!
