Offered is a lovely and rare early American coin silver table spoon circa 1843 - 1860s by silversmith and jeweler George W. Cook, working in Boonville throughout that period. This piece is engraved with a period script monogram and has a fantastic maker's mark that incorporates a city mark - it reads COOK.BOONVILLE and is clear and legible. This tablespoon measures about 9 inches in length and weighs about 54 grams. Condition is good overall, with some tip and surface wear and a few small dings to the bowl, but no splits or repairs. All in all a fine piece of American coin silver from small-town Missouri!
