Offered is a lovely early American coin silver spoon in the coffin-end pattern marked WILLARD, probably for a silversmith named A. Willard who may have worked in Utica. The spoon has a "Utica look" - however, I could be wrong. In any event, it is a lovely little piece. This spoon measures about 5 1/2 inches in length and weighs about 10 grams. Condition is very good overall, with no dents, splits or repairs. There is no monogram or obvious sign of erasure. All in all a fine example of this variant of the coffin-end pattern of early American silver!
