Offered is a rare example of the use of die-struck sheaf-of-wheat decoration in Philadelphia; the Thibault family and the Wilsons used it a bit, but few examples exist bearing the mark of others, such as the well-known firm of Fletcher & Gardiner. In several decades of following Philadelphia coin silver, I can think of only one other occasion where I've observed sheaf-of-wheat spoons with Fletcher & Gardiner's maker's mark.

The decoration on this particular pair of teaspoons is extremely well preserved. Please take a look at all the pictures. Each spoon also features a well-executed period engraved script monogram and a clear maker's mark. These spoons measure about 5 3/4 inches in length and weigh a total of about 30 grams. Condition is good overall, with no major dents and no splits or repairs. One spoon has a few small dings to the bowl, but they are very small and shallow, and not a major concern, at least to me. All in all a lovely pair!
