Offered is a good American coin silver teaspoon by the partnership of brothers Bela Scoville Squire and Seth P. Squire, working in partnership from about 1845-53 in New York City. This isn't a rare mark, or a particularly distinguished spoon, but it is in excellent condition has good weight, and bears attractive period engraving for the original owner, one C. A. Bamford. This piece measures about six inches in length and weighs about 25 grams. It is quite sturdy. Condition is excellent, with virtually no tip wear and no dents, splits or repairs. The maker's mark is well-struck and quite legible. All in all a good piece for the collector, for everyday use, or for a small gift!
