$12.50

Offered is a nice American coin silver teaspoon by jeweler and silversmith Samuel W. Pepper, son of the much more well-known Henry J. Pepper, silversmith of Wilmington and Philadelphia. Samuel worked only a year or two in Delaware, spending the majority of his career in Philadelphia. His spoons are usually marked as here - just PEPPER, incuse. This piece has a clear mark and a period engraved script monogram. It measures about 5 3/4 inches in length and weighs about 16 grams. Condition is good overall, with moderate surface wear and very small dings, but no splits or repairs. All in all a good piece for everyday use with one's coffee!
