SOLD

Offered is a nice early 19th Century Georgian sterling silver sauce or gravy ladle in the fiddlethread and shell pattern, bearing the maker's mark of William Eley & William Fearn, and hallmarked for 1820. This piece has a period engraved faded armorial of a lion holding a device between its paws, while looking to its rear. This ladle measures about 7 1/4 inches in length and weighs about 91 grams, or almost three troy ounces. Condition is fair to good overall, with some surface wear and rubbing to the crest, but no dents, splits or repairs. All in all a good usable piece, nearly two centuries old!
