Offered is a lovely and unusual (perhaps modeled on ancient Roman examples, perhaps the product of Victorian imagination) English sterling silver serving piece or perhaps a dessert or ice cream fork, by John and Henry Lias and fully hallmarked for London, 1846. This piece measures about 5 7/8 inches in length and weighs a heavy 38 grams. There is no crest, armorial or monogram and no erasure. This would be a great serving piece for small items at the holidays or on any special occasion. All in all a nice example of Victorian sterling silver!
