SOLD

Offered is a very nice large American coin silver teaspoon by jeweler James A. Webb, who established his store in Janesville, Wisconsin circa 1856, and was in business at least through the 1860s. He died in 1885. This piece measures about 6 1/8 inches in length and weighs about 24 grams. It is engraved with a period script monogram, and is clearly marked with a maker's mark or retailer's mark of J.A.WEBB. Condition is very good overall, with modest tip and surface wear, but no major dents and no splits or repairs. All in all a lovely early piece of Wisconsin coin silver!
