Offered is a very nice American coin silver teaspoon by Philadelphia watchmaker and jeweler Benjamin Robinson, working circa 1818-44. This piece has a good clear mark for. Mr. Robinson and a city mark for Philadelphia; it also has the eagle with shield mark thought perhaps to denote manufacture by R. & W. Wilson, though to my knowledge this hasn't been proved. Please take a look at all the photographs. This piece is also engraved with a period script monogram. It measures about 5 3/4 inches in length and weighs about 15 grams. Condition is very good, with a minor ding or two but no splits or repairs. All in all a lovely Philadelphia coin silver spoon!
