Offered is a very good pair of American coin silver teaspoons by a member of the Rhoads family of jewelers and watchmakers, working in Lancaster from at least the 1840s on. These spoons are marked RHOADS incuse and have an eagle mark as well. They also have a very nicely executed period engraved script monogram. The maker's mark on each spoon is nice and clear. The style of these spoons points to the 1840s or early 1850s, though they could be a bit earlier or later. These spoons measure about 6 inches in length and weigh a total of 35 grams. Condition is excellent, with minimal wear and no dents, splits or repairs. Please take a look at all the photos by clicking on the first photo. All in all a pristine example of this mark and a fine pair of Lancaster coin silver spoons!
