SOLD

Offered is a very nice pair of Philadelphia coin silver teaspoons by silversmith William Baily, Jr., bearing a specimen example of his early mark, with the Jr. being used while his father (also a silversmith) was still alive. This pair probably dates prior to 1835. These teaspoons each measure about 6 1/4 inches in length and the pair weighs a total of about 43 grams. Condition is very good overall, with only modest wear and no dings aside from one very small ding to one handle (see pics) on the edge to the left of a monogram. There are no splits or repairs. These spoons are heavy and well made. All in all a fine example of antique Philadelphia coin silver!
