Offered is a good pair of Southern coin silver table forks bearing the mark of Charles Catlin, working in Athens, Georgia around 1841 and the later in Augusta, GA into the 1850s. These forks are each graced with manufacturer's marks and Charles Catlin's retailer's mark, and also have period engraved script monograms. These forks measure a bit under 7 3/4 inches in length and the pair weighs about 109 grams altogether. Condition overall is fair, with some left-handed tine wear and modest surface wear, but no splits or repairs. Please see all the pictures. Also, please see my other listings for a single fork from this same set, offered separately. All in all a fine example of the wares of this rare Georgia jeweler!
