This is an Argus Flash attachment/handle. It uses 2 "C" type batteries that load into the screw-on cap - labeled Argus - on the bottom of the hand grip. I do not know what type of flash bulb it takes but it seems that it can use 2 different types due to an adapter, labeled Tarwood, that fits into the dual prong adapter of the flash unit. This Model J66 Electric Eye Land Camera was manufactured by Polaroid between 1961 and 1963. The camera is in great shape and the bellows are just wonderful and appear to be light-tight, and the shutter still fires. Everything operates but I no longer have film so I am unable to truly test it. It worked the last time it was used around 1980. A vintage hand-held 8mm Movie Camera, Cine Perfex Double Eight Model A , Manufactured by the Candid Camera Corp. between 1938 and 1950. This classic camera does not have case, however, it is in very good condition. The carry handle is still somewhat supple, and the winding mechanism winds and releases freely.
