Green with White Beads Bangle Bracelet SOLD
SOLD $15.00 SOLD
An extremely unusual and unique, definitely hand-made, bracelet. Two rings of a golden or brassy colored - maybe copper - forms the inner frame of this item. The green material (I don't know if it is clay, or cellulose, or what it is - someone thought it could be leather) has white beads and small glass mirrored squares embedded all
around the outside of the bangle. I remember my mother wearing this when I was
quite young and it is possible that this came from Greece. Other than this I really have no clue to its origins, or materials; it simply is a novel piece. The bracelet has an 3 1/8" (7.9cm) outside diameter, an 2 5/8" (6.7cm) inside diameter, the band is
1/2" (1.3cm) wide, and 1/4" (0.6cm) thick; it weighs 1.0oz (28g). There is a small
crack on one edge inner rim, and a bead is missing near that area. Also there is a
crack/gap across the width of the inner side of the bracelet. It seems to me that is
from manufacture and not from damage.
