Description:
Around 1948, Polaroid introduced the Model 95 Polaroid Land Camera. This camera was
not the first instant camera, but it was the first successfully mass-produced one. It was easy to use - almost automatic (only 8 settings of shutter/aperture) and fast (black/white photo was ready in one minute) which helped it be an instant success as well. The original box and papers are with this item. There is still film loaded in it, I did not remove it nor have I tried to take a picture. It could well still work, I leave it to the buyer to experiment. The Model 95 is 7 1/2" (19.1 cm) long open, 10" (25.4 cm) wide with strap, 5 1/4" (13.3 cm) tall to view finder, 2 1/2" (6.4 cm) thick closed, and weighs: camera only 4.6 lb (2.1 kg), camera & box 5.5 lb (2.5 kg).
