Polaroid Electric Eye Land Camera Model J66
This Model J66 Electric Eye Land Camera was manufactured by Polaroid between 1961 and 1963. The camera is in great shape and the bellows are just wonderful and appear to be light-tight, and the shutter still fires. Everything operates but I no longer have film so I am unable to truly test it. It worked the last time it was used around 1980. The handle is still supple and the case is still in great shape; there are a few marks on the surface but no real damage. The inside panel of the case has some stain on it and a name was printed there. I do not know the name, but I remember this camera when I was very young (around 1960 - 65) My uncle brought it home, however, I do not know if it was new when he got it. Some paper work - if not all - is still with this piece. The camera is 10" (25.4 cm) in length when open, height 5 1/2" (13.9 cm) wide, and 3 1/4" deep at widest part. It weighs 4.2 lb - 2.0 kg (70.4 oz - 1,995.8 gr) camera only, and camera with case 6.25 lb - 2.8 kg (100 oz - 2,834.9 gr).
This Polaroid is still in great shape, especially since it is over 60 years old. It is a necessary addition to any camera collection, and from what I have researched it still can take great shots for the serious camera 'buff' if it is converted.
