Sheridan Silver Co. Footed Meat Platter

A stylish vintage silver plated, footed tree well meat platter by the Sheridan Silver Co. The company, located in Taunton MA, opened in 1944 as the C & C Silver Company by Joseph Caiozzo and Harmody, and incorporated in 1946 as the Sheridan Silver Co. Inc. The company logo: 3 half ovals, left one has a crown, middle one has an S with a slash, right one has a shield, all underlined and below the line words: - Silver Plated- is on the bottom above the 'root' of the tree. This platter measures 15 3/4" (40cm) long, 11 3/4" (29.8cm) wide, and is 1 1/2" (3.8cm) tall. It weighs 25.6oz (726gr). There are some scratches on platter to right of tree half way up (3:00), and a small flea bite on the side of 'tree root'; this appears to be the only detractors of this wonderful and still displayable/usable piece.
