Coffee grounds are soaked in water over several hours and then drained into caraf. Then you pour a small amount of the liquid into a coffee cup and fill with hot water. A beautiful wooden bowl for serving nuts, snacks or perhaps a dinner salad. It has the slightly oval shape characteristic of the Munising brand: 8-3/4" x abt 9". The wood is 1/2" thick all around. We've rubbed in a little light vegetable oil to bring out the color and protect the wood. The rounded "M" on the script logo marks this as a circa WWII item.
