Whitingham circa 1800, length 5 5/8 inches, total Troy weight .79 oz., very good condition, period script mono (obverse) and a slightly later one (reverse), marked as shown in third enlargement.

Notable as birthplace of Brigham Young, the town was a mere thirty years old when these spoons were made. We marvel a bit that such a small, rural spot could support its own silversmith, and can't help but suspect that he dabbled in other trades.

length 8 3/4 inches, fine condition, a discrete three letter script monogram (reverse) as shown in second enlargement, retailed by Boston's own late lamented and very elegant Bigelow Kennard Co.

At 2.85 Troy ounces, this has a wonderfully "heavy in the hand" quality. A fine, old, New England pattern, Newport Shell will blend in harmoniously with any distinguished table setting.

A Puerto Rico coffee spoon, length five inches; weight .76 oz. Troy; with figural palm tree handle and Governor's Palace, San Juan, in bowl, marked only "sterling". A Jamaica teaspoon, length 5 3/8 inches, weight .69 oz. Troy, plain bowl, made by Caron Brothers, circa 1900.

gilt pear shaped bowl, monogrammed "LC" (script, reverse), excellent condition, length 4 1/8 inches, marked only Bigelow Kennard and "sterling" but looks to be Wood & Hughes.

probably a crest and we suspect Missouri-related given the maker. Great quality and weight; the condition is unassailable when viewed from the front but from the reverse (see second photo) it is obvious that there have been some different findings attached in years past... 2 5/8 by 2 1/8 inches, no monogram, marked "Mermod & Jaccard / Solid Silver".

square in section with applied cast floral ornament and wirework wrapping above the tines. 5 3/8 inches, no monogram, excellent condition, sculptural in execution.

Boston and Salem Massachusetts circa 1800, length 9 1/8 inches, slight tip wear but heavy and in fine overall condition, monogrammed "H" (obverse, script with flourishes).

probably Netherlands circa 1900, marked 830s, monogrammed "KH / 12 8 '96", excellent condition and as we say here in Boston, "it's a baaahgin".

no monogram, fine condition, length 4 1/2 inches. A splendid little example of British Arts & Crafts silver, and with the dollar down in the doldrums our price probably amounts to no more than a few quid... Please see third photo for marks.
