Length 5 inches, excellent condition, monogrammed "RL" (script, obverse), heavy. As we've no doubt mentioned in the past, Towle compensated for the austere nature of this pattern by designing some wonderfully decorative blades, tines and bowls for the serving pieces.

length 7 inches, no monogram, some very slight wear to the high spots (please see second photo) but excellent overall condition and a rather tough item to find, these days.

length 8 3/4 inches, monogrammed "B" (obverse, Old English), fine condition, weight 3.2 Troy ounces.

order numbers 170 (datemark for 1900) and S2902 (datemark obscured), height 3 3/4 inches, weight 4.42 oz. Troy, no monogram, a few very minor dents here and there but excellent overall condition.

lengths 7 9/16, 6 7/8 inches; excellent condition, monogrammed "Strollers" and "F" respectively. A highly detailed and well modelled pattern-- we've long suspected that the grapes are applied rather than die-struck-- (see second photo) from our favorite flatware maker.

Banks and Biddle Company, length 8 1/4 inches, excellent condition, monogrammed "C" (script, obverse). A classic example of Philadelphia style bright cut engraving. Marked with trademark only, but our guess is that it's sterling rather than coin silver.

1840, engine turned lid and base with applied cast and chased border, 3 by 1 5/8 by .75 inches, gilt interior, well constructed and heavy (3.17 oz. Troy). There has been a monogram removed from the rectangular cartouche, but it requires a trained eye to detect this.

length 5 7/8 inches, no monogram, the slightest bit of tip distress (please see third photo) visible from reverse but fine overall condition, gilt bowl.

length 3 3/4 inches, excellent condition, no monogram. Not antique but perhaps from the 1920's (see photo number two for mark) with better detail, die-depth and stronger oxidation than you'd find in a brand new one.

spoon, length 5 3/4 inches, excellent condition, no monogram. The T-monarch-S trademark (see second photo) is ringing only the faintest of bells in our memory, but Thomae silver company is also a possibility.

length 4 1/4 inches, excellent condition, weight .4 oz Troy, monogrammed "CMS" (script, reverse, please see second photo).

length 2 5/8; height 7/8 inches, excellent condition, no monogram. An especially fine example by this maker, whose jewelry tends to be a bit underrated (and undervalued) in the market at large.

length 5 3/4+ inches, some light pattern wear (reverse, see third photo) but fine overall condition, monogrammed, marked with Gorham trademark and "Copyrighted".

length 6 1/4 inches, monogrammed "LES" script obverse, fine condition, retailed by The Cowell & Hubbard Co.

Italian, Florence circa 1880. What makes an object extraordinary? In the case of a sculpture, it must be well modelled. Then, it must be cast by a capable founder so that every last detail of the clay model is captured in the metal. Finally, the condition must be flawless. Our bird meets all three criteria without ruffling a feather. Height 2 3/4+ inches, weight 3.44 oz. Troy (!!), marked with city mark and .800 in circle, for a digitally "flipped" positive image of the monogram pleas...
