Measuring 4 3/8 by 1 1/8 by 1 3/8 inches, this set will fit easily into your purse or briefcase, but at 31 oz. Troy (that's two pounds, two ounces in lay terms) it may weigh you down a bit. Canton circa 1825, double struck fiddle thread and shell with classic "inset vee" or "Chevron" seam construction, length 11 7/8 inches, weight 6.9 Troy ounces, a minor test mark as shown in enlargement number four but outstanding overall condition, no monogram.

This is a grand tea tray, fully two feet (exclusive of handles) by sixteen inches. Let's be optimistic and start off with the bull, which measures one inch long by 5/8 high, excluding pedestal. He is fully three dimensional and sports a pair of small (approximately 6 points each) but fully cut diamonds as befits such an enthusiastic fellow. The base is hand engraved with two stock symbols and prices: V 13 1/4, C 64, which no doubt had fond associations for the original owner. with finely executed naturalistic engraving, matte finish, gilt interior, 2 3/4 inches high, top diameter: 2 inches, weight 3 oz. Troy, monogrammed "B.K" and something else (in Russian script) which you can see it in photo number three. A kind reader has told us that it means "to your health." There was one small dent that's been tapped out, and it's good work. Aside from that the condition is excellent. Click your mouse and then reach for the vodka; this is a lovely piece of silverware.

"God save our gracious Queen, Long live our Noble Queen" and I'll spare you the rest. Just be grateful that we don't have MP-3 files jangling away in the background! Here, the Queen is applied in gold on a field of concentric circles to a pair of round sterling cufflinks just shy of 5/8 inches in diameter. No monogram, very good condition, maker's mark SJR, London 1952.

regional interest, Beggs & Smith, Cincinnati circa 1850, engraved "Irwin", some light wear but fine overall condition, length 5 3/8 inches. Did Irwin use this to embellish his hot dog, and if so was it a Kosher dog? Alas, we may never know...

bowls, marked only "sterling" and "J.E.Caldwell & Co." To say that these are "highly carved" would be an understatement, and though about a hundred years old they are in essentially new condition. Length five inches, no monogram.

alas the bottom half only but at least you may use it to serve elegantly, weight 37 oz Troy, 12 3/8 X 9 3/8 X 2 inches, engraved with crest "stans cum rege" (standing with the King) as shown in photo number two.

but unmarked, length 4 1/2 inches comprising veined leaf with cast applied beetle enwrapping five stems and flower buds, wires have come unsoldered in a few spots at lower "bundle" but fine overall condition, original clasp (see fourth photo).
