circa 1950,length 16 & 7.5 inches; weight 4.25 & 1.95 Troy ounces respectively, excellent condition and color, both clasps are tight and in good working order, no monogram, marked as shown in 3rd and 4th photos. We tend to have tunnel vision when it comes to Danish silver jewelry and focus only on Georg Jensen, but these pieces are of a similar or higher quality and quite pleasing to the eye. comprising a heavy (1.33 Troy ounces), die-rolled band of silver cleverly seamed to make a circle. The interior diameter is 2 5/8 inches.

Like almost all items from the workshop of Colonial Williamsburg, it is of above average quality. Marked as shown in second enlargement.

unmarked but similar in style and execution to many items we've owned by Vansant of Philadelphia, diameter 1 3/8 inches, weight 8.8 grams, excellent condition with original Victorian clasp.

and a mighty handsome one, at that. With bad news swirling all around, what better way to brighten up the day than to buy yourself a little gift, preferably a silver one? Diameter 1 1/2 inches, excellent condition, clasp has been replaced with modern safety (please see third photo), unmarked.

comprising necklace (17 1/2 inches), bracelet (7 inches), brooch (1.75 inch diameter) and earrings. Excellent overall condition, though the safety needs to be reconnected and the threaded post-backs should be replaced with the "pinch" style backs (please see third photo).

Ruopoli worked for Black, Starr & Gorham in addition to making jewelry under his own name. He was a skilled modeller and his cast items are finely finished...

each square face 15 X 15 millimeters, or if you'd prefer 9/16 X 9/16 inches, weight .46 oz. Troy or 14.3 grams or if you're old school 9.2 dwt. Marked on reverse 18k and L in diamond as shown in second enlargement.

These are quite stylish and in wonderful condition. The posts are marked only 14k, which I suppose means they'd run out of 18k backs on the day that they were assembled, and made due with what was on hand.

A solid, well-constructed and wearable piece of jewelry which is equally suited for every day or a special occasion.

Let's be optimistic and start off with the bull, which measures one inch long by 5/8 high, excluding pedestal. He is fully three dimensional and sports a pair of small (approximately 6 points each) but fully cut diamonds as befits such an enthusiastic fellow. The base is hand engraved with two stock symbols and prices: V 13 1/4, C 64, which no doubt had fond associations for the original owner...
