seamed hexagonal construction, each individually cast section fitted together and held in place on a threaded rod through base (please see third photo), height nine and one-half inches, weight four pounds, excellent original condition.

Though Gorham is best known for silver, they also made bronze objects, such as these, of extraordinary quality. Both the famous Shaw Memorial by St Gaudens on the Boston Common and the Brown University bear are Gorham bronzes.

Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
height 9; diameter 5 7/8 inches, soft dark patina in fine condition save for a splotch of green paint as shown in second enlargement, marked only "H2" on glass globe, will probably need to be re-wired. As with all of our offerings (excepting item 1928), this is a period piece, not a reproduction.

Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
diameter thirteen inches, no monogram. This item does have some staining and pitting (see fourth photo). Although these issues have been addressed, our patience proved to be finite, and it is not in the usual Cherneresque condition. To make matters worse, someone has tried--and failed-- to efface the maker's mark. In any event, we're still pleased to offer a copper piece from this Boston master who usually worked in silver...
