Sadly, back in 1890 or so, "Mother" decided that she didn't want the giftees to know the identity of the original owner, and had their monogram wiped out. If you can live with this, then here's an opportunity to own a sturdy and useful piece of this desirable Gorham pattern at an attractive price.

length 7 7/8 inches, no monogram, weight 5.54 Troy ounces, excellent condition, marked (as shown in fourth enlargement) with Georg Jensen in dotted oval, 84, sterling, and Finnish import marks so you'll know that for sure this set has been to Finland.

Reflections of candle light from the gently hammered surface will make this spoon shimmer on your dinner table! We've scoured the Internet in search of a more attractively priced example and come up empty-handed.

length 8 3/4 inches, gilt scalloped bowl, weight 2.23 Troy ounces, marked and monogrammed as shown in enlargements. There is a minor dimple in the bowl (see third photo) but the figure has crisp detail, and the spoon retains most of its original gilding.
