some might call it a bouillon ladle, others a punch ladle, we won't belabor the point; length 12 5/8 inches, a dent in bowl so minor that it doesn't show up in our photo and the gilding is worn but otherwise fine condition, no monogram, weight 3.89 Troy ounces, unmarked and attractively priced. A classic example of mid 1860's engraving.

length 9 3/8 inches, some very slight pattern wear but fine overall condition and the bowl still bears a faint rosy blush, monogrammed "ML" (?) script obverse, retailed by Bigelow Kennard & Co. Unlike many examples which one may find on the Auction Site That Must Not Be Named and elsewhere, this is not a preserve spoon (9 1/8; different decoration in bowl) masquerading as the berry.

height 2 1/2; top diameter 3 1/8 inches, weight 4.03 oz. Troy, engraved with a tomato (?), foliage, and TJ. As legend would have it, Jefferson designed the originals himself and commissioned silversmith John Letelier to make them. Ours has a very minor dent where side meets base which we've attempted to show in photo number two. Aside from that, the condition is fine.
