circa 1860, with hollow handle and finely engraved flat all silver blade; marked "R & W WILSON" in rectangle; length 11 1/2 inches; engraved "Woelpper" on reverse of blade, good condition although the edge is a bit rough (please see second enlargement).

and engraved .800 silver napkin rings, these by Koch & Bergfeld, Berlin, circa 1890. Each engraved with three birds in flight, flowers and foliage very much in the manner of Gorham. Matte finish save for the cartouche, which may have had a monogram removed, although if so it is an outstanding job (none of the pattern has been hit-- see photo). Diameter, 2 inches; height, 1 3/8 inches; good weight.
