circa 1800, a long elegant spoon (length nine inches) of exceptional quality, weight 2.07 oz. Troy, period script monogram "MM", chamfered edges, squared drop with cut corners. There is a slight indentation just above the monogram which we suspect Mr. Loring himself created by grabbing the wrong tool to turn down the end, but aside from this the condition is outstanding.
Massachusetts circa 1800, length 6 1/4 inches, excellent condition and quality (note flat portion on leading edge of bowl; see third photo), monogrammed "C" in period script with flourishes, total weight 3.80 Troy ounces.
Boston and Salem Massachusetts circa 1800, length 9 1/8 inches, slight tip wear but heavy and in fine overall condition, monogrammed "H" (obverse, script with flourishes).
