Length 8 5/8 inches, excellent condition, no monogram, a heavy and wonderfully sculptural piece of silver. By the way, H. Hansen is now part of Georg Jensen, so this could be considered Jensen silver, although by that same logic my mini-van could be considered a Mercedes...

probably Tifft Whiting & Co (see third photo), North Attleboro, Massachusetts circa 1860. 2 1/2 by 1 5/8 by 1/2 inches, fine condition, gilt interior, monogrammed "DWW" ?? script with flourishes. American silver snuff boxes, even later ones such as this, appear to be quite scarce.

guilloché enamel box, three distinct patterns visible in the engine turned engraving depending on your angle of vision (see enlargements), double hidden integral hinges opening outward from the center, gilt interior, 3 1/4 by 2 1/8 by 3/8 inches. There is a minor flake in the enamel (see third photo) which doesn't extend through to the metal, and some scuffing around the edges on reverse but aside from this the condition is superb. It is most unusual to find a good looking Victorian case that will fit a modern size business card, and has not been engraved.
