With their chamfered shoulders, round end and rounded drop, these spoons are a faithful reproduction of the 1790 style. Note also the flat portion at leading edge of the bowl, always a sign of high quality. They are of course forged, not stamped. Probably intended as child's toys, this type of item is scarce in American silver and few examples survive, today...

2 5/8 by 1 1/4 inches, excellent condition, no monogram, weight .56 oz. Troy, marked with Gorham trademark and model number 12. Cast, not stamped, this is a faithful high quality antique reproduction of a Georgian bottle ticket.

This is the Bigelow Kennard version, which has piercings in the upper portion of handle.

gilt pear shaped bowl, monogrammed "LC" (script, reverse), excellent condition, length 4 1/8 inches, marked only Bigelow Kennard and "sterling" but looks to be Wood & Hughes.

exceptionally colourful, gilt bowl, no monogram, excellent condition save for one small portion of missing blue inlay (see third photo). I hesitate to call this damage. Gorham had significant problems with the enameling process and it may be a slight "second".
