Chawner, London 1813, length 8 3/4 inches, weight 6.5 Troy ounces, of exceptional quality with a thread that extends onto the heel of the bowl (see third photo), crest and monogram as shown.
We think it probable that another cypher may have been removed before the current one was engraved, but as these things go it is subtle and will not be visible to the untrained eye. Minor problems aside, the condition is superb. This is a truly elegant pair of spoons.
For the chef in search of a finishing or basting tool, the long capacious bowls hold exactly two tablespoons, they pour easily and are well balanced in the hand.
