Well, yours truly doesn't know the name of this pattern, and I've just de-phoned with the grand master of silver flatware who finds himself in a similar situation but said "Why not call it 'Rope'?" What we do know: They are large (7 3/4 inches), substantial, in fine condition, and monogrammed "D" (script, reverse). Also, the double set of loops symbolizes friendship, which is a fine sentiment especially if you plan to give these as a gift. Retailed by Boston's own Newell Harding; maker unknown but probably J.
