Measuring 4 3/8 by 1 1/8 by 1 3/8 inches, this set will fit easily into your purse or briefcase, but at 31 oz. Troy (that's two pounds, two ounces in lay terms) it may weigh you down a bit. The case has some minor dents, as one might expect, from its occupants which are small and dense. There is also a spot on the "M" where the engraver bore down too hard and went through the cover, but overall color and condition are both fine. Marked only with the swan in oval (all pieces, see photo number three), which is a French import mark not contemporary to the item. Judging from the patina, style, construction and monogram we would date this set from the 1st quarter, 19th century. Judging from the fact that they had been priced under the scrap value for quite some time, it seems unlikely that anyone actually cares, but if you dear reader do have an interest then think fast, as the smelter's gaping maw may soon swallow these dominos.
