tall, massive Loring Andrews two handle grape vase

height 14 inches, diameter across handles 10 inches, diameter of base 5 3/8 inches, weight 55 oz. Troy. With repoussé chased decoration surrounding each cartouche, cast three dimensional hanging grape clusters on each handle, and applied grape leaves at the joins, one might call it "grapes three ways". There has been a monogram removed from both panels (please see fifth photo), but the silver is of such heavy gauge that it has no give whatsoever even when a substantial amount of pressure is applied to the area in question; aside from this the overall condition is fine. Marked "Loring Andrews & Co. / U.S.A. / 2 / Sterling".
