Length 9 1/4 inches, a slight trace of tip wear from right handed usage but fine overall condition, monogrammed "M.A. Fowler 1836". Fans of our little web page will know that when describing provenance we usually favor an extreme economy of words, but it is interesting to note that this spoon would have most likely been a wedding gift to Mary Ann Fowler of Amesbury, MA. She was married on May 12th, 1836, to Joseph Killam of Boxford. Killam was a direct descendant of Governor Bradstreet whose family history within the Commonwealth goes well back into the 17th century. More information about this pair may be found on the Longyear Museum's website, but we don't want to spoil your fun!!
