Fostoria Garden or Lilypond Centerpiece Candle&Bowl Set

This is a rare set made by the Fostoria Glass Co and it was called either the Garden Center Set or the Lilypond Set.  The set consists of a large shallow bowl, a center block and 6 curved fabulous candleholders that fit into the center flower block.   The bowl is 14 inches in diameter with a wide scalloped shape and sides that come up about 1 1/2" high.  With the candle arm block is 9" wide when assembled and the whole centerpiece stands about 7 3/4 inches tall. You can put some water in the bowl and float gardenias, roses, or other flowers and then put 6 white or colored candles in the candlesockets.  It's a striking piece!  AND what's great is that you can it apart when you aren't using it and store it almost flat in your cupboard, easy!  This treasure was made by Fostoria for a few years starting in 1949.
