A Rare colossal cup and saucer by Vernon Kilns (Vernonware) in the "Homespun" plaid pattern. A 1953 Vernon price list stated that this was ideal as a collector's item, or for display, salad, punch, fruit, popcorn, planting, and flower arranging. This item was also shown in a Vernon company brochure as an ice bucket. In November 1953, p.143 of Family Circle an article gives a recipe for Turkey Soup Supper in a Vernon Kilns Colossal Cup. Published in 1862, this book is a record documenting the first year of the Civil War. Written by Edward A. Pollard, author of "Black Diamonds", this is the 2nd edition "Revised and Corrected". 406 pages of text, the book is paper bound. The back cover is detached, both front and back covers are faded due to age, all else excellent condition and a fascinating read.

Vintage Eames era hand painted purple and blue glaze Fructus pattern salad or dessert plate designed by Gunvor Olin-Gronquist for Arabia of Finland. The design is of a pomegranate, but often referred to as ahalf apple. The condition is excellent, no cracks, discoloration or chips. Just a couple of very small surface micro abrasions. A lovely hand carved jade box with 2 crabs on the top. Nice open work. The box is lined with glass to support the jade panels and crabs appear on the sides, bottom is solid. The jade is a off white with a green tint. Bronze frame is engraved. Box measures 4" x 5" and 2.25" high. Early 20th C.

Designed by Italian artist M. Girard in the 1950's for the 1953 Queen Elizabeth II coronation, this figurine is porcelain with a matte finish. It is hand painted and written on the bottom in gold: M. A fabulous vintage gold tone 4 coil wrap around snake bracelet by Whiting & Davis. In pristine condition, it comes with its original box. The snake body (one coil) measures 5/8" high.

A beautiful ornate hair comb with sparkling blue rhinestones. Made of ivorine, the back of the comb simulates ivory while the front of the hair comb has a layer of pearlized celluloid. The top is cut through with fancy leaf and scroll work with rhinestone studded flowers. Measures 7" wide across the top by 6" high.
