Rare piece of "Animal Keeper" California pottery Metlox Artware. This little bull is one of a series of "Animal Keepers". Designed with a shallow dish with plenty of room for keys, change, a wallet, pencils, pens, jewelry, etc. This piece was also designed so that wrist watches could hang from his horns. 18 kt yellow gold and red enamel diamond cross pendant by Faberge. The cross holds twelve round brilliant cut natural diamonds. In excellent condition save for a slight blemish on the front left center which may have been caused by another chain. The cross drops about 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" with the locking bale x 1" across. A herd of 5 antique wool coated PUTZ sheep made of paper-mache with stick legs. Hand-painted with friendly expressions, they are in very good condition. One sheep's ear appears to have been damaged. We have a 5th small sheep that is perfect except he is missing his collar (not pictured, but we are including him for FREE with the sale, so you will receive a total 6 sheep). The red collars have GERMANY stamped on them. The larger sheep measures 3" high x 3.25" long...

The horse is designed in such away that he could be used as a bookend with either the side or the rear being able to butt against a row of books. He would also look great on a stack of books or just simply placed as a horse statue under a lamp. In perfect condition and marked Metlox on the bottom, he measures about 7.25" high.
