Kuna Mola

The Mola is approx 13 3/4" x 18".

The Kunas live on the San Blas Islands and on the Darien peninsula in Kuna Yala
Kuna women make and wear blouses decorated with appliqued cloth, reverse appliqued cloth and embroidery.

The blouses, and their decorative front and rear panels, are referred to as molas.
The best molas are amazing works of textile folk art – on par with great quilts from America or Asafo flags from Ghana...

American Indian Basket

It is 10" in diameter and approx 2" tall.
I believe it's woven sweetgrass.
The tag that came with the basket states the origin of the basket to be from Maine by the Micmac or other tribe (cant make out the name).
Similar looking basket online was made from the Wanabaki or Penobscot tribe.
Some color fading to the basket otherwise great condition.
Possibly a sewing basket.

There is a silver painted number on the bottom of the basket.
