Ted DeGrazia (1909-1982) was known the world over for his paintings of the Southwest. Indians, angels, cowboys on horseback, all were among his creations....but far and away the best known and loved were his solemn, dark-eyed children.
The tile is embossed with the navajo mother scene giving it a 3-D look. It is hand painted with a soft matte finish.
It is hand signed and signed in the mold.
The letters are hand written from two sons one in the U.S. Air Force stationed at various locations in the U.S.
The other son was in the U.S. Navy.
They are writing home to their parents and fiance. Nice military stationary.
There is a telegraph and a few photos also.
It is 4 1/2" x 7".
One side has a windmill scene decoration and the other side has a sail boat.
They are 1" tall with a 2 1/4" rim.
They have hand painted blue and white porcelain on the outside and beautiful floral enameled decoration on the inside.
They are marked Kutani in blue and "Made in Japan" in red.
It is 7 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" deep.
The bowl is decorated with a floral center design with a stick spatter green and burgundy triangles or rays.
The artist left a thumb print on the rim of the bowl.
There are some light glaze scratches on the inside of the bowl that don't affect the design. No chips or cracks.
There is light crazing only along front rim.
The bottom is stamped "NIMY" Made in Belgium.
It is 1 1/4" in length and width.
It is freestanding so it can be worn as a pendant or set out for display.
They are approx 3" long and have a turquoise colored enamel decoration in the center.
They are very light weight and don't pull down on your ear.
Jo Marz was trained as a sculptor and opened her business in 1986.
Her jewelry items outsold her sculptured items and this is the area she focused on.

She has beautiful long hair and well detailed scales on her tail.
I believe she was part of an old fish bowl holder.
She is marked Verona Pat Pend on one side and 468 A on the other side.
She has a much darker patina than in the photos.
The cuticle tool is 4 1/2" in length. The tip of the tool has a slight bend and some of the petals on the daisies are dented in.
The button hook is 8" in length.
The handles are decorated in a daisy motif and are marked "Sterling".
The ends of the tools are metal which have darkened with age and have some light rust.
The bracelet is 7 1/2" and is decorated with eight 3/4" leaves linked together.
The earrings are of a single 3/4" leaf.
They are approx 4 1/2" in length.
