Vintage Keller's Ink Company 1 gallon stoneware jar w/lid. It is 9" tall with an approx 5 3/4" rim.
The front has an advertisement in cobalt for Keller's Inks.
The top and bottom of the jar are trimmed in bands of baby blue & white.
The keller Ink Company was formed in 1889 and by 1897 was manufacturing ink, paste, and mucilage.
The back of the jar has a large chip at the bottom. The inside rim has a chip and the front has some tight hairline cracks that extend out from a large glaze pop but it doesn't effect the image. There is crazing on the lid and jar. The lid has some large chips on the underside that extend out to the edge of the rim.
The bottom is marked 97.C.4
