This Royal Doulton Toby jug is called 'The Poacher' and was designed by Max Henk. Shape number D6429, it is the large size, measuring 7 inches high. This jug is color Variation 1: green coat,red scarf and light brown hat. The handle is a salmon. The mark on the bottom dates this jug from 1954 to 1973. This Royal Doulton Toby jug is called 'Old Charley'. Shape number D5420, it is the large size, measuring 5 1/2 inches high. This jug is color Variation 1: Charley wears a brown hat, dark green coat and blue polka dot bow tie. The mark on the bottom is Backstamp A and dates this jug from 1934 to the mid 1950's. Hex Optic is one of the earlier depression patterns. It was made by Jeannette Glass from 1928 to 1932 and used extensively in their kitchenware lines. This Royal Doulton Toby jug is called 'Auld Mac'. Shape number D5823, it is the large size, measuring 6 1/4 inches high. This jug is Variation C: Auld Mac is incised on the tam and printed in the backstamp. This combination dates the jug to after 1940 and the backstamp is prior to 1947, so you have that range for production years. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Made in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. This is the footed sherbet in frosted crystal. Perfect condition. I have 4 available, price is per sherbet.
