During the late 1930's, the trend in dinnerware was moving away from the pinks and greens of Depression glass and toward the colors of Fiesta, Harlequin and Luray pastels. In order to compete, Hazel Atlas started producing glass with fired on colors to compliment these dinnerware lines. All of the shakers pictured have a "Platonite" finish - ceramic color baked over white glass. It will not come off (unless you use sand paper) and is a permanent part of the glass...

Rose Crest is was produced by Fenton from 1944 to 1947. It was originally made as an exclusive for Weil Freeman Company in 1944, but when they didn't renew the contract, Fenton added it to their regular line and continued production until 1947. This single candlestick is Fenton's shape #316 and dates to the late 1920's - early 1930's. Standing 3 1/2 inches high, the glass is a light green with an iridized stretch finish. Excellent condition.

This fine rib mixing bowl was made by Federal Glass Company in the 1920's. 6 3/4 inches in diameter, the base is square so that the bowl rests flat when in use. This bowl was sold as part of a nesting set of mixing bowls - here's your chance to complete your set.

These Akro Agate items are from the Small Interior Panel set (18 panels). The colors are transparent topaz (made only in 1935-6) and transparent green ( called 'jade trans optic'). The El Mexicano pattern was designed to look like old, crudely made Mexican Glass. Made by Morgantown Glass in the early 1930's, the molds were later reworked for their crinkle line. This 7 1/2 inch salad plate is circa 1932 and the color is called 'Ice'. Perfect condition, I have 4 available. Price is per plate. Shell Pink was made by Jeannette Glass Company from 1957 to 1959. It's a soft pink colored milk glass, made to 'appeal to the modern housewife' - or so the advertisements said. This covered sugar bowl has the Baltimore Pear pattern - an early pressed glass pattern that Jeannette used for this sugar bowl. It's in perfect condition.
