Georgian was produced by Federal Glass Company from 1931 to 1936. This pattern is usually called 'Lovebirds' because of the 2 little parakeets perched in the decorative 'cage'. Offered here is a 7 piece shot glass set dating to the 1930's. The little glasses were made by Hazel Atlas Glass Company. They're listed as the vertical rib 2 oz tumblers. Each stands 2 3/8 inches tall and all are in perfect condition. The chrome tray is 8 1/2 inches in diameter and is unmarked. It has 6 little indentations to hold the shots securely in place. Diamond Optic is one of those patterns that Hazel Atlas produced in the mid 1930's using the cobalt glass they had originally created for the Shirley Temple line. Offered here is the #1876 pitcher - stands approximately 8 inches high and holds 54 oz. Excellent condition. See my other listings for more cobalt Hazel Atlas glassware.

During the late 1930's, the trend in dinnerware was moving away from the pinks and greens of Depression glass and toward the colors of Fiesta, Harlequin and Luray pastels. In order to compete, Hazel Atlas started producing glass with fired on colors to compliment these dinnerware lines. All of the shakers pictured have a "Platonite" finish - ceramic color baked over white glass. It will not come off (unless you use sand paper) and is a permanent part of the glass...

It's part of the Melody series set, with music on one side and a picture on the other. The cocktail mixer has an interesting twist: the songs are pictured, but instead of music, there is a drink recipe written on the staff paper.
