Kitchenware - Jeannette Delphite Cowboy Hat

This neat little cowboy hat was made by Jeannette Glass Company in the mid 1930's. The color is delphite blue. The hat measures 4 1/2 inches long and I think it was meant to be used as an ashtray originally - rest the cigarette in the crease of the hat as the brim collects the ashes. Personally, I'd put it on my desk or dresser to make me smile when I see it. It's a wonderful whimsey item from the Depression Era.
