VINTAGE PY MIYAO POTTERY SCOTTISH COUPLE SALT & PEPPER

This charming Py/Miyao Scottish boy and girl salt and pepper shaker are quality ceramic novelties. Beautifully hand-painted with a variety of colorful plaids. Each piece is 2 3/4" high. The girl has 3 holes and the boy has 2 holes. Both pieces have original cork stoppers. The boy is playing bagpipes and the girl is singing and dancing. The bottom of each piece is marked "MIYAO". Py pottery is earthenware from a company name Miyao in Yokkaichi,Japan. Between 1949-1961, Miyao produced high quality ceramic novelties for American distribution. This exceptional PY/Miyao ceramic couple will surely "pipe up" any collection. In great condition with no noticeable flaws. From a private collection.
