Vintage Large Wooden Salty and Pepper Shakers

A classic vintage hand-painted wooden salt and pepper shaker set. Marked "JAPAN" on the metal grate on bottom of Pepper shaker. Circa 1950's. The large wooden caps unscrew for filling. Both caps have 5 holes. The Pepper shaker has what appears to be a squeaker that doesn't work anymore. Each piece stands 5" high and 2" in diameter at the base. Some wear on the finish of the white cap. The word PEPPER has some paint wear also. Otherwise a well-seasoned set that will add spice to any collection. From a private collection.
