Vintage Newburyport Silver Footed Urns Salt & Pepper

A rare pair of Newburyport Silver Company footed salt and pepper shakers. These very vintage shakers stand 2 3/4" high and are 1" diameter at the base. Bases are weighted. Both shakers have 12 holes in the screw off caps but one has larger holes. The bottom of each shaker is marked "NSCo 444". The Newburyport Silver Company was located in Keene, New Hampshire and was only in business between 1905-1914. Newburyport Silver Company was known mostly for flatware which makes these shakers uncommon. Footed items are a rare find because most do not survive intact. Tarnishing is consistent with an item approximately 100 years old. This unique set of silver footed salt and pepper shakers will add a bit of history to any collection. From a private collection.
